GB November Trials 2024

This weekend Brookes headed up to Boston, Lincolnshire for two days which included a 2km ergo test and a 5km time trial in either a single or pair for the Great Britain Senior and U23 trials. On the men’s side, there were 8 pairs and 3 singles taking part in the time trial with 5 pairs placing in the top 15. Toby Tegg and Sal Dunn came home in 4th position and the fastest full U23 pair. Kai Schlottmann and Lorenzo Previati backed them up in 9th place and the second fastest full U23 pair. Charlie Chick and Max Pianta, Max Mills and Jonathon Cameron along with Ethan Lennard

A day of Celebration and Remembrance

On the morning of Saturday 2nd November, our Olympians gathered with their friends and family, the current Brookes senior and novice teams and many who had played vital roles throughout their journeys to Olympic medals. The morning began with a memorial for our dear friend and Director of Sport, Keith Kelly. Keith had played a pivotal role in the pathway of all the athletes that were celebrated today whether it was ensuring they had the best boats to race in or someone to chat to over a sports bar baguette after training. Henley Women’s Regatta 2024

Oxford Brookes Women claim both the Championship and Academic Eights at Henley Women’s Regatta In a spectacular repeat of the results from last season, Brookes retained both the Ron Needs Challenge Cup for Championship VIIIs and the Colgan Foundation Cup for Academic VIIIs. Last year’s result was a first for the regatta. To repeat the same feat, alongside other notable results, further characterizes the incredible work being put in by the entire women’s group to raise the quality of their training and racing performances. GBRT April Trials 2024

Success for BROOKES|Rowing at GB Trials This weekend, 21 BROOKES|Rowing athletes raced over two days at the GB Rowing Senior & U23 April Trials at Caversham. The crews were faced with challenging tail wind conditions which produced tight racing throughout the weekend. The time trials and semi-finals were raced on Saturday, with the finals taking place on Sunday morning. The Brookes women’s group had some standout results, perhaps their best ever performance at a GB Trial.
