Head Coach
Now in his 19th year with the club and 11th year as head coach, Henry Bailhache-Webb has continued to take BROOKES|Rowing from strength to strength. After retiring from rowing in 2006, he joined the coaching staff at Brookes as the Freshers’ Coach, moving to Assistant Coach in 2007, and finally to Head Coach in 2009. Since taking the role, Brookes crews at Henley Royal Regatta have won 11 events, including the Visitors, the Prince of Wales, the Prince Albert, the Temple Cup 3 times in the last 5 years and the Ladies Plate back-to-back. His crews are also the current holders of the HORR and multiple other Heads races across the country. The 2017 season also saw Brookes crews come 1,2,3 at Ghent International Regatta and at Metropolitan Regatta.
Bailhache-Webb rowed for GB at Junior, U23 and at the Senior World Championships in 2005, following on from his Brookes student days that culminated in winning the Visitors Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta in 2004. He has coached internationally with the British U23 team seven times – with 3 Bronze medals in the M8+, 2 Silver medals in the LM4- and Gold in the M2-.
