On the men’s side, there were 8 pairs and 3 singles taking part in the time trial with 5 pairs placing in the top 15. Toby Tegg and Sal Dunn came home in 4th position and the fastest full U23 pair. Kai Schlottmann and Lorenzo Previati backed them up in 9th place and the second fastest full U23 pair. Charlie Chick and Max Pianta, Max Mills and Jonathon Cameron along with Ethan Lennard and Harry Fisher all finished within a second in 13th, 14th and 15th. Carwyn Davies and Sam Gater finished in 21st. Joe Hoyland and Finn Mosedale in 27th and Callum Gilbey and Connor McGillan in 31st.

In the singles, Toby Lassen came in 25th place, Ben Newton finished in 38th and Fergus Woolnough in 57th.

All of the women raced in their singles for the first trial this year. Jenny Bates had a brilliant row and came in 2nd place. Rhianna Sumpter came in 33rd as the 9th placed U23 athlete. Millie Hurrell came in 49th place as the 5th U21 athlete. Aggie Burt finished in 68th place.

Great ergo results with some solid placings in the time trial as we now head into big boats and set our sights onto Wallingford head in a few week’s time.
