Quintin Head Report
A strong showing at Quintin Head saw the men’s squad post a 1-2-3 and the women’s squad narrowly miss out on the win after a close race with the University of London.
The men’s 1st VIII were an impressive 29 seconds ahead of the rest of the field- with athletes returning from the GB Rowing Sierra Nevada training camp joining the rest of the squad where there were 5 men’s and 3 women’s eights racing. The main squad have spent the last week at Wimbleball Lake in Somerset for their winter training camp, before heading to London for the first of the year’s Tideway Heads.
In addition to the overall and Championship category win, Oxford Brookes E also won the Intermediate 2 category. Full results can be seen below.
This was the first race of the season for the full squad after the cancellation of Wallingford Head before Christmas. The squad next splits across the GB Rowing 2nd Assessment in Boston and Henley Fours and Eights Head- both of which take place on 15th February.
